Manarola, 5 Terre
How to get to Manarola:
  • Train: the best option to reach Manarola is the train. The train station is in the middle of the village.
  • Car: you can get to Manarola by car but there are few parcking lots available and, as you can see from the map, the parking area is 10 minutes walk from the centre of the village.

Some tips if you arrive by train...

From March 17th to November 4th the Italian Railway Company offers rides (Cinque Terre Express) in the La Spezia - Levanto section (La Spezia <-> Riomaggiore <-> Manarola <-> Corniglia <-> Vernazza <-> Monterosso <-> Levanto) every 30 minutes at a fixed rate. We therefore recommend arriving at the stations of Levanto or La Spezia with long-distance trains and from there take the Cinque Terre Express to get to Manarola. Check the timetables on trenitalia.com.

Some tips if you arrive by car...

Take the exit "S. Stefano Magra" from the highway towards La Spezia, follow the signs to "Strada Provinciale delle Cinque Terre" and continue towards Manarola (about 16km). When you get to Manarola you can park in the free parking spaces on the side of the road (look carefully at the signs that mark the parking lots) or in the toll parking (20 euros / day). At the cash desk of the toll parking you can request the baggage transport service.

Check-in & Check-out...

It is possible to check-in from 14:00 to 19:00 (for early or late check-in send us an email). Check-out before 10:30.

About the area...

The Nationa Park of Cinque Terre includes five small villages overlooking the sea: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. Man has changed the natural environment for more than one thousand years by sectioning the steep slopes of the hills to obtain stretches of land and cultivate them, supported by kilometers-long dry-stone walls. This is the real characterizing feature of the Cinque Terre, with an unusual and deeply anthropized landscape: a territory that has become a World Heritage and is loved by tourists from all over the World.
